- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until set but still soft in the middle.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For additional flavor, add a pinch of espresso powder.
