- 1 –2 inches fresh turmeric root or 1–2 teaspoons ground turmeric
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 inch fresh ginger optional
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or any citrus juice like lime or orange
- 1 teaspoon honey or sweetener optional
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional for better absorption
- 1/2 cup water
Fresh Turmeric Shot:
Scrub fresh turmeric root and peel it using a spoon or vegetable peeler.
Slice it into small pieces.
In a blender, combine the turmeric, black pepper, ginger, and lemon juice. Add enough water to blend into a smooth consistency.
Strain the mixture using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
