Ingredients
  

  • 1 –2 inches fresh turmeric root or 1–2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 inch fresh ginger optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or any citrus juice like lime or orange
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sweetener optional
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional for better absorption
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions
 

Fresh Turmeric Shot:

  • Scrub fresh turmeric root and peel it using a spoon or vegetable peeler.
  • Slice it into small pieces.
  • In a blender, combine the turmeric, black pepper, ginger, and lemon juice. Add enough water to blend into a smooth consistency.
  • Strain the mixture using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Ground Turmeric Shot:

  • Mix 1–2 teaspoons of ground turmeric and black pepper in a bowl.
  • Add warm water and stir to dissolve.
  • Enhance the flavor by adding honey or your preferred citrus juice.
